Educating the Next Generation
We are passionate about educating the next generation and believe that access to quality education can change the trajectory of an individual's life. In underserved communities across western Kenya are bright, hardworking students, including straight-A students, who risk dropping out of secondary school simply because their families cannot afford tuition and other school-related expenses. Through our scholarship program, we help deserving students stay in school and continue pursuing their dreams.
One example is Winnie Odhiambo, a current Form 3 student at Alliance Girls High School, one of Kenya's most prestigious secondary schools. Winnie comes from a humble background and was at risk of missing the opportunity to attend the school simply because of financial limitations. Thanks to the generosity of our scholarship donors, her education has now been funded through university. Winnie continues to excel and remains at the top of her class, even while learning alongside some of the brightest young minds in the country. Her story is a reminder that sometimes all a child needs is an opportunity. We are proud to help remove the financial barrier so that students like Winnie can focus on what they do best: learning, growing, and reaching their full potential. Watch her story here.
Our commitment to education also extends to the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through our partnership with Uzima University, we help expose medical students to global standards of medical education. Their training is augmented by learning from healthcare professionals practicing in the United States and other parts of the world, giving them exposure to current evidence-based medicine, advances in healthcare, and different approaches to patient care. By investing in students at every level, we hope to equip future leaders and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and opportunities they need to strengthen their communities.
