Lives Changed Through Compassion

Every story represents care delivered where it was needed most.

A Scholarship That Changed Fred’s Future

Fred is a 16-year-old student in the 11th grade at St. Mary’s Yala. Like many bright young students in rural Kenya, his ability to attend high school was uncertain due to financial hardship.
Without support, his education would likely have ended before it truly began.

Through the Mercy & Love Foundation’s scholarship program, Fred received a full scholarship
that made it possible for him to enroll and continue his studies. What once felt impossible is now within reach.

Today, Fred is pursuing his education with renewed determination and dreams of building a meaningful future for himself and his community.

Help Arrived Just in Time

Maryanne’s life changed in an instant when she was involved in a serious car accident just outside the clinic where our team was conducting a medical mission.

She was brought in screaming in pain. Her injuries required urgent orthopedic surgery, but she had no insurance and no way to pay for the procedure.

By God’s providence, an orthopedic surgeon was serving on our mission team. The Mercy & Love Foundation stepped in to cover the cost of the insurance required for her surgery so she could receive the care she urgently needed.

Maryanne underwent surgery the very next day and has since made a strong recovery—an outcome that would not have been possible without timely intervention and compassionate
support.

Eight Years of Pain, A Chance for Healing

For eight years, this young man lived with severe knee swelling that gradually took away the active life he once knew.

Once an athlete, he was forced to stop playing sports as the condition worsened. The chronic swelling affected his ability to walk comfortably, participate in daily activities, and keep pace with his peers at school. Over time, his leg weakened and became severely emaciated.

During our mission, our medical team carefully evaluated his condition and worked to provide treatment aimed at relieving his pain and restoring mobility.

For him, this care represents more than treatment—it represents hope that one day he may return to the life he once loved.
